Privacy Policy

Papervoice collects nothing.

Last updated: 15 September 2026

What is collected

Nothing. There is no account, no analytics, no crash reporting, no

advertising identifier, and no telemetry of any kind.

We do not know how many books you have, which voices you use, how long you

listen, or that you have opened the app at all.

Your documents

The PDFs you import stay on your device. They are read on your phone, by

software running on your phone, and are never uploaded anywhere. Neither is

the text taken from them, nor the audio generated from that text.

This is not a promise about our intentions; it is a property of how the app

is built. Papervoice is open source, and anyone may check:

When the app uses the network

Once, per voice you choose to download.

Selecting a natural voice downloads its model from a public address named in

the app's source code. That request contains no information about you or

your documents beyond the fact that a file was requested. The app makes no

other network requests, and works fully offline afterwards.

Permissions

  • **Storage / file access** — to open the PDF you pick. Nothing else is read.
  • **Notifications** — to show playback controls while a book is being read.
  • There is no microphone, camera, contacts, or location access.

    Children

The app collects no data from anyone, including children.

    Changes

If this ever changes, it will change here first, and the app's release notes

will say so plainly. Anything less would make the rest of this document

    worthless.
